ABOUT M & M MILLING

Ever a person to turn a problem into an opportunity, southwest Arkansas farmer Holmes Morel first began milling to find an alternate use for a damaged corn crop in 2000. Since that humble beginning in a small mill at the family farm, M & M Milling has grown to be a full-service manufacturing company that specializing in milling, blending, and sizing materials for industrial and commercial applications. To this day, however, the focus remains on helping customers find personalized solutions to their challenges through M & M’s resources of specialized equipment, technical knowledge, and hard-working employees.

After success with milling on a small scale at the family farm, Mr. Morel eventually moved to the present site of the main plant located in nearby Texarkana, AR. From here, M & M began by milling and classifying grains and shells for the wood products industry. Over time, M & M Milling expanded by beginning to size and package nut shells for the drilling industry. To support these operations, a trucking company, HM & M Trucking, was founded. At present the original site is home to a 100,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility with an office building, two outbuildings for screening and packaging operations, and a second full-fledged milling and classifying plant.

As the business expanded, Holmes’ sons, Bill and John, decided to join the family business after graduating from Samford University and The University of Arkansas, respectively. Along with the addition of his sons to the business, Mr. Morel expanded the business into two new locations. A second site was opened in Texarkana to serve the milling, packaging, and storage needs of its customers’ carbon-based products. In 2012, a 65,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility was purchased in Brookhaven, MS. This ISO 9001 certified plant is home to an operation that focuses on producing, packaging, and shipping animal feed additives.

Already with four plants on three separate sites, M & M continues to grow. In 2015, we acquired a plant that previously serviced the old copper mine in Copperhill, TN. This plant dries and processes industrial minerals. With the numerous manufacturing capabilities of these four facilities, M & M Milling can solve almost any milling, screening, sizing, packaging, or transloading need that your company may have, while maintaining the efficiency and values of a family owned and operated company.
